Eating disorder treatment and recovery requires a comprehensive, collaborative, and compassionate team. Namaste Nourished now offers outpatient eating disorder therapy in addition to our eating disorder dietitian team. Whether you work with Namaste Nourished Group for therapy, nutrition therapy, or both, we want you to feel supported and cared for.
There is no single path to recovery, which is why collaboration and consistency with a treatment team is so important. Our providers focus on meeting clients where they are, and tailoring treatment to support individual values and goals.
As a new patient, one of our first questions is whether you are currently working with a therapist, and if the therapist is an eating disorder specialist. Why do we ask this? Eating disorders are complex, mental health diagnoses that need support from psychological and physiological perspectives. Offering both therapy and nutrition counseling under the same practice allows for better coordination to support your goals, and a team that always has your best interests in mind.

If food, eating, weight, body image, or exercise are taking up significant space in your life, we believe that you deserve support. You don’t need to have a diagnosed eating disorder to seek out an eating disorder therapist. An eating disorder therapist can help you work through thoughts, behaviors, and feelings that come up for you around food and your body. An eating disorder therapist is often a great first step in recovery from whatever you are struggling with. If you’re tired of engaging in eating disorder behaviors, being on the latest fad diet, feeling bad in your body, or constantly avoiding social situations, we can help. Our therapists help with:
Understanding thoughts and behaviors around food, eating, weight, and body image
Developing additional coping skills outside of food and exercise
Reducing anxiety around food and body
Improving body image, self compassion, and self worth
Addressing perfectionism, anxiety, depression, or trauma
Navigating co-occurring and comorbid diagnoses
Building flexibility around eating
Strengthening communication skills
Supporting recovery
Supporting before and after higher levels of care (including residential, PHP, and IOP)
